Trusting and Responding
“The enlightened one believes those who speak the truth. He also believes those who do not.”-something heard in the past 6 months that had surprising resonance
”Everyone is doing their best from their level of awareness.”-Deepak Chopra
A curious thought: The way “other” responds to “me,” it is all of spirit (how could it not be?) To only embrace in trust the responses of some and not others is to not trust the fullness of life as divine. If we hear what one has to say and regard it with the warmth and trust we would truth, even in a lie, we honor the divine in them. No need to be afraid of getting duped, because seeing that truth in them connects us to that truth in ourselves. From there, we may be led accordingly in how to respond.
Regard all contact, including all speech, no matter how untrue, vulgar, or violent, as contact with the divine, and see how compassionate response moves through you.
