Somatic Experiencing ® (SE)

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a naturalistic approach to trauma resolution and a way of becoming intimate with the organic processes of the body. Key elements of SE are building a resourced state, using titration (using small, incremental steps to prevent overwhelm) and using the guidance of the bodily "felt sense," which allows the highly charged survival energies to be safely experienced and gradually discharged.  Touch may be included to support the renegotiation process.  

Somatic Voicework ™ 

Somatic Voicework ™ The Lovetri Method uses voice science as well as singing methodology to guide singers in finding and strengthening their natural singing voices. Exercises in Somatic Voicework ™ are proscribed on an individual basis and can be used to guide the natural singing voice into “putting on” different vocal qualities and styles. 

Vocal Improvisation via All The Way In by Rhiannon

Vocal improvisation is the means of tapping into the unique music that is coming through each individual at any given moment and giving voice to it. Vocal improvisation exercises include the use of improvised movement, sounding, and singing with and without words.

Yoga and Self-Inquiry

The ancient system of yoga is vast and contains guiding principles for every aspect of life. Olivia is trained in ashtanga yoga, which informs certain guiding movements and breathing techniques in sessions, as well as bhakti and jnana yoga. A common translation of “Bhakti”is “devotion” and is expressed in some traditions as the singing of mantras. Jnana means “self-knowledge” and is the practice of continually looking at oneself and inquiring as to the deepest essence of our human experience.
