Welcome
One of my favorite paradoxical truths is that we are built to walk this path together, and yet no two people are going to move along it in exactly the same way. We are meant to share our joy, dance and sing together, and lean on each other for support and sometimes advice; yet we are also built to have a direct connection to our own wisdom and power of choice, to be able to trust ourselves absolutely. This trust is priceless.
It’s when we live towards a balance with both individual strength and communal interdependence that we really come alive and thrive.
I offer an experiment—read the following statements and pause for a moment after each one, noticing what happens in your body:
What if our bodies are wiser than we can possibly imagine?
What if love and trust for others and life comes as we learn to love and trust ourselves…and vice versa?
What if it is never too late and we are never too far away to return home to ourselves?
If you noticed a deeper breath, perhaps some openness, relief, a draw, curiosity, a sense of possibility—even a small one—, or maybe a sadness, a longing, a tenderness…that’s where we all begin. Then, notice what it might be like to follow that. I’ve found that, this turning attention toward and following of our direct experience, to be the doorway back to our inherent wellbeing and wisdom.
We all have the capacity for this. Simultaneously, we often need a little holding, a nudge, some extra support and guidance from a trusted other. If you’re drawn towards support that is committed to pointing you back towards your own strengths, gifts, and wisdom, this is that kind of space. Welcome!
A few more questions to experiment with:
What if pleasure and passion are breadcrumbs to follow, maps from the body towards home?
What if pain is another kind of message, to pause and pay loving attention?
